President:
Allison Takapu

Allison Takapu has been part of the Golden Valley Vocal Arts Program for the last 3 years, experiencing the passion of music through the arts of singing, dancing, and performing. Enduring challenges and partaking in unforgettable opportunities, the Vocal Art’s program has offered Takapu a broader perspective of what it is like and what it means to pursue an interest in what one loves. After dedicating her years to the program, Takapu hopes to leave one last performance in every aspect of the performing arts in the upcoming school year, whether it’d be seen on stage or seen only by the ones that were meant to see it. With or without her to witness, she looks forwards to the students that were with, before, and after her to continue on their journey towards where their heart beats and search for the greatness that they strive to prove. As Golden Valley Vocal Arts’ new president, Allison Takapu wishes to assume her position with love and grace as she guides and prepares the program to the next step in the 2024-2025 school year.

Vice President:
David Jimenez

Through David’s life he has always found comfort in music. He began singing in his sophomore year and quickly found his place in the choir program. With a strong background in leadership roles in other performing arts programs, David now serves as vice president of the vocal arts. He is dedicated to encouraging his peers, supporting the president, and fostering a positive environment. David is committed to the program’s growth and success, all while bringing his silly and cheerful personality

Music Captain:
Melesse Stevens

Melesse Stevens is a junior at Golden Valley. As someone with a deep passion for music and performing, she believes our program is a wonderful outlet for self-expression and creativity. Choir has helped her come out of her shell as both a performer and a person and she wants to help do the same for others. As Music Captain, she aims to share her love of music, support her peers, and help to foster a positive environment for all.

Dance Captain:
Jaia Bryant

Hi I am Jaia! My family is full of dancers so it has always been a part of my lifestyle. I've done choir for almost 7 years now and have won several awards, such as best performer and best dancer. I've taken multitudes of dance classes and have always found that dancing just comes naturally. I love being able to have the opportunity to share the love that has developed for dancing and singing with my team.
